Melvita Rose Day Cream
In my recent beauty routine I’ve become pretty much minimalistic treating the skin of both face and my body with the amazing organic cold pressed coconut oil. I love its moisturizing, cleansing and regenerating effects. However, the oil is obviously not an ideal base to start with in the morning before you apply a foundation. Thus I was searching for a natural product with long lasting hydrating effects.
I came across MELVITA, an expert in organic beauty care and France’s leading ecological and organic beauty brand. When I saw they have a rose nectar edition, I knew that this is what I need to test (I absolutely love roses in all forms and also like to pick beauty products and fragrance with roses scent). I decided to try out the Melvita Nectar de Roses Hydrating Face Gel, a winner or a Cew Eco Beauty Award from 2013. With its 24-hour hydration effects, the product is aimed at a very dry skin using the rose floral water and the extract of fresh roses to supply the skin with constant hydration.
When I checked the product rather light milky consistency, I actually did not believe at first that this can properly moisturize my skin and my first idea was that I will probably have to use a bigger amount of this rose day cream with every application. With the first use, my skin literally drank the applied gel but already the next morning I could see that I need a smaller portion which means that this rose day cream moisturizes my skin well. Now, I’ve been using my Melvita Nectar de Roses gel for more than a month and I am still just half way through the 40ml package.
Every application is amazing for me cause besides the perfect sensitive skin treatment, it smells just fantastic. It’s like enjoying a morning walk in the garden full of briar roses.
