Pretty smile
Kinda beauty-healthy post today! How I care of my smile. In the photo bellow you can see my set for my home dental care. Some of you might wonder why so many products…? Proper teeth and gum care is an essential condition for keeping them healthy throughout your whole life! If you suffer from sensitive gums as me, it is even more important to create a proper cleaning and preventive daily routine.
Well, here are my personal tips that work for me. Of course, I got much useful advice at my dentist´s. However, it also took some time to test diverse products and find the ones that really work best for me.
Oral-B Vitality Pro White is my latest discovery. I actually found it under my X-mas tree and got addicted to the electric toothbrush cause it is sooo much more effective than manual cleaning and my gums appreciate the massase it provides them. It has a 2-min timer which is the optimal time for cleaning. It needs charging after a week of 2-min cleaning twice a day. When I opt for manual cleaning, I always use Curaprox ultra soft brush plus TePe Compact Tuft for precision cleaning of difficult to reach areas. As for the toothpaste, I follow my dentist´s advice to use a fluoride-free tootpaste, e.g. Sensodyne Classic which btw. has a cute rose color. Interdental brushes are essential for your gums health. I use red and pink TePe interdental user friendly short handle brushes that can be extended with the accompanying plastic cap. To finish my routine or freshen my breath whenever necessary, I use Sensodyne Mouthwash or pure bio coconut oil which I consider a miracle and a multipurpose remedy. It once helped me cure an aphthous stomatitis. I could not eat for two days because of painful mouth full of aphthas. I applied coconut oil and let it melt in my mouth for 15 mins and then put a layer directly on the ill areas before going to bed. It worked incredibly till the next day. To protect my teeth from cavity, I also use Elmex gelée once a week. It can be applied with a toothbrush, or I prefer just spread on teeth and gums with a finger after my whole teeth cleaning routine.
