Farewell to 2014! 2015… welcome!
While others are just enjoying their coffee, a blogger manages to type a review post on the coffeeshop and takes photos of the coffeeshop, the coffee, today´s outfit… We are the obsessed visualists who cannot waste a second without sharing all beauty around them with you!
In this end-of-the-year post I would like to sum up the 2014 from the point of view of a blogger and stylist, but mainly me, Kate. Many things happened, both wonderful both dissappointing. Anyway, always be grateful for both ups and downs, they go hand in hand with your progress and self-improvement.
Even though I had to quit my English language teaching profession from a bunch of reasons, 2014 turned out to be a huge professional step for me. My fall in previous career gave me a great opportunity to find time and courage to get closer to fulfilling my dream – work in fashion and beauty industry.
The very first step was my requalification for Styling which I did at the renowned BACKSTAGE School of Styling in Prague. Sending hello and many thanks to the amazing BACKSTAGE girls! I learnt so much and the course lived up my expectations and showed me the way I really want to go. GREAT SINCERE THANKS ONCE AGAIN!
I have reorganised my life considerably, started very nice cooperations… e.g. with my dearest friend and best makeup artist, Evička Kejíková, …and I thus put my blog to another level, mainly by adding Fashion editorial and Styling.
Another turning point came with the offer of cooperation as a Fashion editor for JO Magazin. I was contributing the articles about fashion and home decor twice a week. Marina, the chief editor has always been so kind at me. Unfortunately, I had to give my magazine collaboration a break for a while. I appreciate the chance to be the part of it, so far. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
In summer I got a job at a marketing department in the leading eshop selling fragrances and beauty products and much more. I got the opportunity to become the one at the start of its American eshop which has given me much new experience and knowledge in beauty area and marketing. Definitely useful and naturally connectable with fashion area, isn´t it?
Now as you got some of the 2014 background events of mine and Chic Cocktail, you might be curious about what new is coming in 2015. I am preparing Styling advisory for different body types. And finally, there may be some outfit posts ft. me… maybe… Since some of you suggested you would like to see me in outfit photos. What do you think?
So, there you go a summary of some key moments of 2014. However, Chic Cocktail would be nothing without its fans and supporters!
